The Osoyoos Indian Band and the Town of Osoyoos are working on a boundary adjustment agreement that will transfer roughly 16 hectares of land near 45th Street into the reserve.
The agreement stems from a settlement made between the band and the Canadian government in the late 1990s regarding the John Carmichael Haynes land claim in the area 150 years ago. [...more]

“We do 1,000 septic tanks a year,” said John Mills, owner of Osoyoos’s Darlorn Septic Service.
Right now, it costs about $360 to have your septic tank pumped out and hauled away.

A Kamloops-area woman who was stopped at the Osoyoos border crossing with 31 kilograms of cocaine has been sentenced to seven years in jail.

Tony Slovak said he did his homework when he was considering a new way to sanitize the water in the pools and waterslides at the Osoyoos RV Campground and Waterslides park he owns with his wife Nadia.
Concerned about water quality, he found international studies that convinced him that ultra violet (UV) sanitation was the most environmentally friendly way to go to keep the park clean.
Interior Health regulations, however, require that chlorine be used for public pools and waterslides and Tony’s idea about switching from chlorine to UV sanitation sank. [...more]

They are now hanging their washing on the fence by the Seniors (Centre) and Lawn Bowling.
Also, regarding Lions Park, which has been a family park, they were reported twice as they were drinking and carrying on and also letting their dogs run loose.
