A National Anthem is to be respected and revered, close to being sacred.
How dare “Nikki” (Yanofsky) sing, the orchestra provide the music and the Vancouver Olympic dignitaries allow the anthem to be obliterated and then dress it up in frills to the point of being unrecognizable.
It’s not a folk song to be gussied up.

The Town of Osoyoos is facing a pretty big challenge with its pending anti-idling bylaw.
The bylaw is currently before the provincial Environment Ministry after receiving first, second and third readings from Osoyoos town council last month.
