The Osoyoos Coyotes continued their trend of winning one and then losing one early in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League this past weekend.

The Coyotes started the weekend off on a very good note as they skated into Summerland and defeated the Steam in their barn by the score of 4-2.

However, on Saturday night against the visiting Revelstoke Grizzlies, the Coyotes allowed the Grizzlies to score three unanswered goals in the second period after taking an early lead and they never recovered as they dropped a 5-2 decision.

Jackson Barrett scored two goals to lead the way for the Coyotes in the win over Summerland, while Carter Robinson and  Connor Onstein added singles.

Cameron Welch scored both goals for the Coyotes in the loss against Revelstoke.

The Coyotes now stand at 3-3 early this season, not including Wednesday’s home game against the North Okanagan Knights.

The Coyotes have another busy weekend with a road game Friday night in Kelowna against the Chiefs, before returning home Saturday to play Chase. Game time is 7:35 p.m.
