Park should be supported

Editor:rnI live in Port Coquitlam, B.C. I, and my whole family come to Osoyoos twice a year for holidays.
I am wondering why the Mayor, council members and a few citizens would be willing to shoot themselves in the foot trying to shut down Rattlesnake Canyon's go-cart ride which operates a maximum of four months per year.
This well known entertainment spot could re-locate anywhere else in the Okanagan and be welcomed for the tourist dollars it attracts.
Rattlesnake Canyon is a well known tourist attraction for Osoyoos. It is an entertaining family site which is very clean and well planned.
It's one of the reasons I choose your city for my holidays because after a day at the beach, my grandkids look forward to going there.
I am sure the taxes that Rattlesnake Canyon pay to the city and the revenue it generates is a welcome addition to the home owners and retailers of your town.
Could this be a witch-hunt? Your other go-cart track on the main drag has hardly any noise deflection and is less attractive.
I hope the residents of Osoyoos support this familiar attraction.
