LOCAL RESIDENTS URGED TO SIGN PETITION CALLING FOR PENSION REFORM FOR MPs
Posted on 03 October 2012 by admin
Dear Editor:
Due to popular support for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation initiative calling for MP pension reform, a petition is now available to sign at Yore Movie Store, located at 8519 Main St. in Osoyoos.
With a sufficient taxpayer push, Prime Minister Stephen Harper has promised to look at pension reform for Members of Parliament this fall.
If you believe an overhaul of MP pensions is long overdue, then please take a moment to sign the petition.
Don’t forget that your signature is your voice.
Thank you for this opportunity.
Paul McCavour and
Julie Turner

LOL… What else has he promised??? I’m surprised to see that some people still believe in the system and that the Government is working for them. Ask not what your politician can do for you but what you can do for them…. I think they should all get a raise for fooling people like you into believing that your signature will make a difference. If you still truly believe that your vote counts? Feel your head, get it out of the sand and think again. Elections are rigged and only the weak minded players with a thirst for money and the willingness to have their little puppet strings pulled are elected. Usually after being bribed by large cash donations by the banks and corporations they vowed to fight and raise taxes on. Not only will these puppets retain their pensions, but they will give themselves a raise. The government is not in debt, it is you and I that fall deeper in debt as they continue to thrive off of our high taxes and lie to make you work harder and longer so that they can collect their huge huge pensions. My pension, after 37 years of hard, mostly physical labour? A meazely $945.00 a month. A taxpayer push? Now that is sure to awaken Harper. He and his constituants are probably shaking in their shoes. I say shoes because only working men wear boots. As fall is here and the colder weather comes in, they will be looking forward to flying OUR jet to warmer climates to play golf.
The next time we elect a prime minister, I want his name to be Adolf Moussilini so we can all get a fair shake in life.
