LOCAL WOMAN EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH OSOYOOS SAILING CLUB’S RECENT REGATTA

Posted on 03 October 2012 by admin

Dear Editor:

I have lived at Fuji Court in Osoyoos for 22 years and have surely enjoyed every minute of it.
Every September, the Osoyoos Sailing Club puts on their annual regatta, which is so nice to watch. I also respect all of the hard work that goes into organizing the annual event as all of the sailors and organizers must be fed three times a day during the event.
The weather is always a big factor for the event and it was no different this year as there was very little wind, but organizers and competitors still did a good job anyway.
There were a lot of children watching the races and they had a good time playing in the water and having fun.
It’s nice to see the members of the local sailing club are training the young ones to learn how to sail and I’m sure all the young people involved are having a really good time.
This year’s event was very well organized and it was a lovely weekend for everyone involved.
I wish the sailing club all the best in the coming years and I look forward to seeing competitors out on the lake for years to come.
I’m sure my neighbours enjoyed the event as much as I did.
