LONSDALE SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS

Phoenix Lonsdale, who has also gone under the name Phoenix McGourty, was sentenced in a Penticton court room Monday, to four years in prison.
Lonsdale, who was arrested and charged with arson causing damage in May 2011, was sentenced for burning down the Osoyoos Christian Ministry Thrift Store on Main Street. The fire also destroyed the Osoyoos Dollar Smart Discount store and damaged a number of other stores on Main Street.
The blaze was said to have caused roughly $1.2 million in damage.
