Mother Nature wasn’t very nice to the people who call the Town of Osoyoos home in May and June, but she should be back in everyone’s good books following spectacular weather throughout July and August.
The endless days of beautiful sunshine and nice weather is expected to continue as we quickly approach the Labour Day holiday weekend with Environment Canada’s long-range forecast calling for sunny skies between Friday and Monday, with daytime highs ranging from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius.
With the Labour Day weekend signaling that summer is quickly coming to a close and more beautiful weather coming our way, the Town of Osoyoos is sure to be packed once again with thousands of tourists visiting from all over the province, other parts of Canada and many foreign destinations.
With so many people flocking to Osoyoos every weekend between June and September, we’re glad to report there haven’t been any reports of serious incidents on our lakes or highways.
We urge all local residents and visiting tourists to keep this record intact and use extra caution this holiday weekend.
Osoyoos is one of the most beautiful places in Canada to visit and people flock here to enjoy the sunshine, view the amazing sites and basically have a wonderful time.
Please be careful whether you’re fishing, swimming, boating or driving.
Make sure you’re paying attention when you’re driving down the road or behind the wheel of a boat or personal watercraft and don’t be in a hurry to get anywhere because there are thousands of people in town who are taking their sweet time to enjoy the sites and scenes.
If you’re out for a swim or going fishing, make sure you’re careful at all times.
The weather has been so beautiful the last two months, the summer of 2012 has become onebody really wants to end. Let’s all work together to make sure no one gets hurt and everyone can have a wonderful long weekend in this little slice of paradise.
