Osoyoos RCMP investigate rash of trailer break-ins

Thieves have broken into travel trailers stored off Lakeshore Drive over the past two weeks, Osoyoos RCMP report.

Thieves have pried open doors or broken windows to get into the trailers and steal alcohol and small items in 14 break-ins.

Police ask anyone seeing suspicious activity in storage areas to report it to RCMP.

Stolen car found destroyed

A car that was stolen from the Lombardy Lane area of Osoyoos on April 3 was later found destroyed near Kilpoola Lake.

Osoyoos RCMP said keys had inadvertently been left in the 2002 GMC Envoy.

Keremeos man charged with break and enter

A 32-year-old Keremeos man faces criminal break and enter charges after RCMP caught him near an unoccupied Osoyoos house.

Osoyoos RCMP said they received a report April 2 of a possible break-in at the house on the 8400 block of 97 Street. When they responded they apprehended the man.
